8 Home Remedies to Tighten The Skin on Your Face

Katie here. Today, I have put together some natural home remedies to tighten the skin on your face. All remedies mentioned below help in boosting the production of collagen. And as we all know, collagen enhances the skin’s elasticity and prevents it from sagging. So, let’s tighten skin!

 

1. Egg Mask

Take an egg white and add a teaspoon full of powdered sugar. Whisk the ingredients well enough to make a homogenous mixture. Apply the face mask over cleansed skin and leave it on until it dries. Later, rinse it off with lukewarm water. If required, follow up with a moisturizer. For best results, apply the face mask twice a week.

 

2. Rose Water

Add lukewarm water to a pot filled with rose petals (not too much or you will distill it). Let simmer for 20-30 minutes or until petals have lost their color and are a pale pink. Apply the rose water to your face and neck before going to bed.

 

3. Strawberry Paste Mask (Tighten Skin)

Mash 2 to 3 ripe strawberries and mix them with two teaspoons each of yogurt and honey. Apply the paste to your face and neck for about 5 minutes before rinsing off with lukewarm water. Follow this remedy once daily for 6 weeks for the best results. This is a good remedy to tighten skin.

 

4. Face Yoga (Pt 1)

Hide your teeth with your lips to make an ‘O’ shape with your mouth. Smile widely while keeping the teeth hidden and repeat six times. Next, hold the smile shape while placing one index finger on the chin. Then start to move the jaw up and down as the head tilts gently back. Relax and repeat twice more.

 

5. Face Yoga (Pt 2)

Press both middle fingers together at the inner corner of the eyebrows, then with the index fingers, apply pressure to the outer corners of the eyebrows. Look to the ceiling, and raise the lower eyelids upwards to make a strong squint, and then relax. Repeat six more times and finish by squeezing eyes shut tightly for 10 seconds.

 

6. Virgin Olive Oil

Take the virgin olive oil in a bowl. Before going to bed wash and dry your face. Take some of the oil onto your finger tips and apply it all over your face and neck. Keep massaging the area gently as you apply the oil. Leave it overnight. Wash your face with lukewarm water first thing in the morning.

 

7. Aloe Vera

Extract the gel from the aloe vera leaf and put in a bowl. Wash your face with warm water and dry it. Take some of the gel on your fingers and apply on the face and on the neck. Leave it to dry for around 20 to 30 minutes. Later rinse your face with warm water followed by cool water. This home remedy can be done several times in a week.

8. Water

Every person should drink at least 8 cups of water every day. This helps in hydrating all the organs of the body. Don’t you want to tighten skin? Water also helps in keeping the skin soft and supple. Water aids in the removal of toxins from the body. Also encourages a healthier and tighter looking skin. Drink lots of water!
